Main topic: “DAPA’s future for NDIS participants” by Vincent Yu.
How the federal budget affects people on DSP
Under the environment of increasing living costs and inflation rates, the federal budget does not help people on DSP to tackle rising costs of living especially rent and food.
Employers and investors are facing a slower growth, higher unemployment rate and higher wage pressures. The budget changes in Capital Gain Tax and Negative Gearing mean that investors must be wise in investments.
Invest for People with Disabilities
Federal Government already has a roadmap to change NDIS & what else?

The 2026 budget lays out $200M to the inclusive community to enable participants to connect to locals to participate, but at the same time there will be a 50% cut in participants’ NDIS funding for social and community participation support. DAPA is hoping that its Stronger Forever Program which creates a pathway to normal employment will bridge the gap.
